This would be a good technique for the income but it is so lacking in a large number of regions that it is not usable for me. To begin with the manual is written in such broken English it leaves out expected steps, but can be figured out as you go.
My most significant complaint is with the entry/exist time delay and the secondary key pad. The major controller is generally a table top rated unit, so a thief could come in smash the unit in a number of seconds and that would be the finish of your safety. I wanted to hide the unit and use an additional key pad to arm/disarm the unit located near the entry. The issue with the secondary pad is, you cannot tell if the program is armed or not, no lights etc. If I open the door, I want to know by looking at the pad if the technique was armed by my wife. Otherwise you are entering a 4 digit code, plus plus three each time you come by means of the door. Also the entry delay can be set according to the book from 00-30 minutes. Unfortunately that is exactly what it suggests, no settings for seconds. I like a technique that provides you about 10-15 seconds to disarm. The minimal on this unit is 1 minute. Also be conscious that this company gives $20 for a five star rating. That could possibly be wise advertising and marketing, but does not sit well with me.
I spent time researching "unmonitored" alarm systems in order to save the monthly cost of monitoring. This product seemed to produce the most worth for the money. I was a small apprehensive simply because of some reviews that indicated the instructions were tricky to adhere to. I identified that the user manual was fairly clear and the installation only took about two hours. In addition to the V500 series I ordered a water sensor and the 360 degree motion sensor from the AASalarms.com web site. The 360 degree sensor was not pretty constructed and the water alarm did not include activation directions. I have returned both of the add-ons for a refund.
During installation and in the course of returning a number of items I referred to as the distributer 5 times. Three times they answered the telephone and the other 2 I reached a voice recording. They had been quite responsive and returned my calls within 24 hours. I would buy this product once again and would suggest it to other individuals hunting for a security program.
